Set of 6 1900's Oak & Leather Dining Chairs |
These 6 matching antique dining chairs are solid quarter-sawn oak with original leather seats from about 1900. They are totally solid and usable furniture, the finish is excellent in a rich, deep brown.
Curved backs make them quite comfortable, and size is 18" wide, 17" deep, 37" tall, and the seats are 19" high. see similar items |

Hoosier 1915 Oak Kitchen Cupboard with Rolltop |
An American classic oak kitchen cupboard is usually called a "Hoosier," as most were made in Indiana. This one was probably made by Sellers, because of the "S" on the hardware, but the engraved nameplate is worn and we can't read it.
There is a pull-out porcelain work surface, flour sifter and roll top section. Note some chips to the work surface.

French Bombe Marquetry 3 Drawer Chest, Marble Top |
This authentic antique mahogany French commode or three drawer chest has a shaped marble top. The bombe or convex sides and front have artistically inlaid marquetry of rosewood and satinwood. Heavy brass mounts are original, as are locks and key.
The richly grained marble is undamaged, and the gleaming original finish is excellent with very little wear and wonderful warm patina - note very faint crazing in photos. Drawers fit perfectly and have oak sides with hand cut dovetails.

Mahogany Server, Bar or Silver Cabinet |
This traditional design mahogany sideboard or server has three matched flame-grain doors. It could also be used as a bar or silver cabinet and is in impeccable condition.
The interior is finished, and has adjustable shelves and small drawers with removable silverware holders.
The deep reddish finish is excellent, and there are three dovetailed drawers across the top. Brass feet are original from the 1940's on this is multi-function vintage furniture. Keys are for handles only, they do not operate the locks, which could be keyed..... (added October 6th, 2008) |

Alabaster Sculpture of a Lovely Young Girl, Cedrini |
A beautiful and naturalistic original carved alabaster sculpture of a maiden with roses is signed "Italy, G. Cedrini."
The artist incorporates both Art Nouveau and Art Deco influence. This serene work of art dates from the early 1900's, and has no damage or repairs that we can see.
Translucent with very subtle grain, the natural alabaster stone is lovely with a soft matte finish that is very beautiful. There is a marble plinth with minor flakes. This delicate script signature is on the backside, and height..... (added October 5th, 2008) |
