Wonderfully made of brass and cast bronze, this "Tyfon Patent" nautical fire horn was used as an alarm on a ship. When the handle was pumped, compressed air sounded the alarm through the attached horn.
When we connected the antique horn to our air compressor, it works, but there is a leather check valve that has failed in the pump, so it is not in proper operating condition. The engraved signature plate show the maker's name from the port of Malmo, Sweden about 75 years ago, and height is 22." WEBO E-A554 This item has sold.
