Made of solid mahogany, this traditional desk has Georgian or Chippendale lines and dates from about 1900. Solid mahogany, the hand carving is spectacular, all four graceful legs have claw and ball feet, and the matched rope edges are also hand carved.
The gleaming finish is excellent, the heavy weight brasses are original. Drawers have hand dovetailed oak sides, and there are 2 pull out shelves. Size is 23" deep, 48" long and 32" tall. The kneehole is 19" wide and 23 1/2" tall. Deep moldings accentuate this impeccable antique furniture desk, which would also serve as a console or hall table. O-D1511
